DArPr: Die freie Pressefotografin Edda lebt mit ihrer Tochter in Westberlin. Mit viel Mühe kratzt sie aus den bescheidenen Honoraren ihrer Auftraggeber den Lebensunterhalt zusammen, muss nebenbei alltägliche Arbeiten erledigen und sich um die Bedürfnisse ihrer Tochter kümmern. Dabei versucht Edda, sowohl ihr Privatleben zu bewahren, als auch ein Stück Selbsterfüllung in ihrer Arbeit zu finden.

Brecht die macht der manipulateure: Der film dokumentiert Helke Sanders Auseinandersetzung mit der Anti-Springer-Kampagne der Studentenbewegung sowie deren Folgen.

Abstract/Sommario: Viaggio attraverso l'America Latina del giovane Ernesto Guevara - era il 1951 e lui a 23 anni era ancora ben lontano dal diventare il 'Che' e dalla rivoluzione cubana - a cavallo della sua moto e in compagnia del suo amico biologo Alberto Granado di nove anni più grande di lui.

Abstract/Sommario: I borghi, le comunità e le avventure che hanno scandito la vita quotidiana dei pescatori del tonno. Una comunità che si sviluppa sul mare e che dal mare mutua le leggende, i riti magici e la sacralità. Un documento che dipinge a tinte oniriche ma fortemente realistiche un mondo destinato ad essere relegato nel cantuccio della tradizione. Un universo fatto di racconti, di storie tramandate di generazione in generazione e di una ritualità che oggi fatica ad essere ricordata.

Il cinema degli anni 20, accanto ai lungometraggi, propose una serie di "film culturali" narrativi coronati da notevole successo sia a livello artistico che commerciale. Tali film furono i predecessori dei documentari odierni. Seguendo questa tradizione la Kulturfilm AG nel 1924 ha tratto un film dal libro per bambini "Le avventure dell'ape Maia" (pubblicato nel 1912) con insetti veri come protagonisti. Il biologo e regista Wolfram Junghans costruì per l'occ ...; [Leggi tutto...] Le avventure dell'ape Maia. Il cinema degli anni 20, accanto ai lungometraggi, propose una serie di "film culturali" narrativi coronati da notevole successo sia a livello artistico che commerciale. Tali film furono i predecessori dei documentari odierni. Seguendo questa tradizione la Kulturfilm AG nel 1924 ha tratto un film dal libro per bambini "Le avventure dell'ape Maia" (pubblicato nel 1912) con insetti veri come protagonisti. Il biologo e regista Wolfram Junghans costruì per l'occasione un territorio che servì da studio cinematografico. Per le riprese ci volevano due anni e 50.000m di film. L'interazione tra gli insetti, magistralmente fotografata dall'operatore Weitzenberg in sintonia con i canoni vigenti di tecnica ed estetica del lungometraggio è ottenuta con grande pazienza evitando qualsiasi tipo di trucco. Le riprese documentarie invece fanno vedere dei veri e propri eventi naturalistici: la nascita di api, farfalle e libellule, un serpente che esce dall'uovo, l'aprirsi dei petali di un tulipano ecc. La storia del libro viene raccontata con l'aiuto di scene girate nel territorio nonchè riprese documentarie. L'ape Maia, sempre avida di imparare, si avvia ad un giro esplorativo nella natura e scopre la fauna e flora del bosco e dei prati. Di notte incontra elfi ed uomini, finisce nella rete del ragno Tekla e viene salvata dallo scarabeo rinoceronte Kurt. Alla fine sarà catturata dai calabroni e ascolta di nascosto i loro piani d'attacco. Riesce però a scappare e ad avvertire il suo popolo. Il momento di maggior intensità del film è costituito dalla formidabile battaglia tra api e calabroni. Il film ebbe molto successo sia in Europa che negli USA. La critica ammirava la qualità tecnica delle riprese, ctiticava però l'inattendibile umanizzazione degli insetti. Dopo essere caduto nell'oblio il film fu riscoperto dal Bundesarchiv sulla base di una copia finlandese.

Abstract/Sommario: Die deutschen und ihre männer: Die Österreicherin Elisabeth “Lieschen” Müller verbringt ihren Jahresurlaub in Bonn, um einen Mann für sich zu finden. Die Protagonistin begibt sich bei dieser halbdokumentarischen, ethnologischen Feldforschung an allerlei Orte, an denen typischerweise Männer anzutreffen sind, bis hinein ins Regierungsviertel.
